General guarding and patrol
Our main focus is to ensure that our customers and their valuables are safely guarded. We want our customers to enjoy their privacy and peace of mind in their own private spaces. To do this we make sure every guard we employ is well trained, has integrity, is trustworthy as well as professional at all times. It is also high on our list of priorities to guard your business premises against arsonists, looters and forced entry of any sort given the current socio-economic and political unrest.
Ramatsie Protection Services’ guards are all registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) and are trained to provide assistance with investigations into incidents such as security, theft and burglary.
Our general guards’ duties and responsibilities include:

Armed response and armed reaction
Our dedicated team of armed response guards responds to any threat detected in our customers’ businesses and residential properties – within record time. We also have a professionally operated control room – fully equipped with the latest technology. Our fleet of cars are uniquely branded and equipped with latest communication technologies. All-in-all we have the people, the resources and the technology to respond to any situation purposefully and professionally.
Our armed response guards’ duties and responsibilities include:
- Developing relationships with police, fire and ambulance services
- Responding to alarms and emergencies
- Conducting security checks
- Preventing unauthorised access to customers’ premises
- Detaining violators
- Documenting shift activities and writing reports
Access control
Ramatsie Protection Services’ guards are well trained and highly capable of professionally monitoring CCTV cameras and reviewing footage when this is necessary. Our dedicated team of guards has the capacity to manage access control and to conduct searches without offending the personnel being searched. All our guards bring with them their own registers for the recording of information, such as occurrence books, access control books and firearm issuing registers.
Our control room guards’ duties and responsibilities include:
- Being accountable to the control room supervisor for the scheduling of security officers
- Monitoring check calls
- Responding to telephone and email queries
- A variety of administration duties, including compliance, statutory, contractual and company processes
